A once-in-a-lifetime escape, I believe. Never before has Interpol and the local police sealed the fate of Marie's escape from dangerous extremists. In a 21st-century satellite-saving technology, the men in uniform managed to trace millions of terror-cells worldwide by following Marie, who was the target of assassinations, terrorists, hitmen, and people paid to stalk and kill her.
A must-read. Read the reviews.

He heard her first before he saw her leaving the gardens. She was singing another song.
Perhaps, this time it was the song of a lark who delighted in feeding its care.
Her nimble feet so effortlessly stepped away from the stones on the ground, treading with care while stepping on the wild grass that covered portions of the pathway,
deliberately avoiding trampling its tender leaves.
Marianetta walked as though on water. So gentle were her steps that Harinder could feel the
lightness beneath her feet. His heart swelled in his chest, and his eyes followed her
until she left the palace grounds.
He went back to his place of work, a little lightheaded, whistling as he continued his task at hand.
He knew the hour when the princess would return, and he couldn’t wait to see her.
In 2007, my youngest brother passed away very suddenly. We were in Toronto, Canada, and had just arrived two days earlier. It was one of the most devastating moments of my life. Life would never be the same without him. He cared for me so much, hung around the house, and slept in until we departed Malaysia.
Maybe deep down he knew he wouldn't see us again, but by his passing, he opened the doors to writing for me. Though I used to write on tiny bits of paper, little thoughts that people refer to as poems these days, I had never showcased them to anyone. But in his passing, I poured my heart out in a poem and published it on a website. A lot of people commented that I should continue writing as they loved it.
I have worked hard at my craft, and though there were not many who participated in a dream revealed, now a passion, I began to put my words out there. Always confident that someday, through all the trials and errors, I will get better and my writing will be accepted.
And, I have finally reached, not so much the pinnacle of success because I don't know how to measure success. Is it by the money you make? Perhaps. Well then, it doesn't matter to me, but when I received a Special Invitation to join 9000 poets from 138 countries on 5 continents from Luis Arias-Manzo of Poetas Del Mundo, I know I did my brother right by chasing my dream, or was it his dream? I am not sure.
It was a Special Invitation that Luis Arias-Manzo sent me. He addressed it to me personally.
My brother will be smiling and so will my dad and sister who have joined him since.
These are defining moments that really get me going, to feel that adrenalin rush of success - the success of being acknowledged as a poet. To the many who thought I would give up in spite of all the hurdles I encountered or who laughed at me, I would like to say a big thank you - they just spurred me to greater heights. To the friends who stuck by me - here I am today, a poet of my time. Thank you, my friends.
Thank you Mr. Luis Arias-Manzo. See you in Chile, God willing.

Once upon a time, a girl had a dream. In it, she was lost somewhere in the era of Kings and Queens. She longed to tell that story when she awoke, but then, her pen wasn't mighty nor her words prudent. She wasn't the author of a hundred books yet, nor one on the lips of many, for her gift of telling wasn't born to any. Not yet, anyway.
Then the story got lost somehow with time. One day, she realized that she could write as she wished, her freedom begotten from man and his kind. She wrote as she dreamt that dream. A story like no other it became.
Hence, The Goddess of the Himavan was conceived. (16 years later).
Wonderful story with such rich characters and vivid detail in a land far away with a vast beautiful history. Makes the reader long to travel and see the lush lands described. A fantastic tale for young and old.
I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book a lot. It reads like a fairy tale for young adults with a terrific sense of story. I found myself wanting to get back to reading this book whenever I was forced to take a break. Marienetta and Harinder are sympathetic characters that the reader wants to root for. Her background as an orphan and his as a tragedy-stricken commoner makes us strongly wish for them to get together. Strong stuff.
I thought the king going through such lengths for such a person of low standing as Harinder stretched plausibility but somehow I eventually did buy it. Why shouldn’t a king care for a commoner? If he cared enough to take in Marienetta as an orphan then it’s certainly within his character to commit such an extraordinary act for someone such as Harinder. Anyway, it enhanced the fairy tale aesthetic of the story at-large.
The pacing was brisk and this worked in most places. A worthwhile read that can be finished in one sitting…
Read the great reviews. Read The Goddess of the Himavan on Kindle for USD0,99 or get the paperback copy on Amazon. The story is like no story I have ever written before.
